So, Azul is a master of finding ways to upset me. Knocking over my water glass at night, attacking the tacks holding up pictures and notes by my desk, chewing on my action figures, chewing on my only plant, and, most annoyingly, getting up on the counter in the kitchen.

The reason this bothers me is that I dry my dishes there. I don't have a dishwasher. I don't exactly have a lot of dishes and I've already lost a few, including a unique wine glass that I got for working at the IPNC. So even when there are no dishes there, I don't want her to think it's okay. More and more, though, I wake up and find the cloth I put my dishes on covered in white hair.

Aron, remembering how the tinfoil around my tree helped keep her out of it during Christmas, suggested I put foil all over the counter, which made me all grumpy because it's also my only cutting and preparing surface and moving foil around sounded onerous. And, it turns out, it was. It worked for a few months, but eventually she realised that there was nothing too bad about tinfoil and walked around on top of it with impunity.

Well, I finally got around to doing my dishes today and she kept leaping up there. I got tired of it and finally resorted to tape. Not two whole minutes passed after I lined the counter with upside down packing tape did I hear her struggling in it. I walked in to find her whole lower half entangled in transparent packing tape. She jumped down and writhed, trying to get it off, and I had to intervene. I did stand there, though, for a few seconds relishing my success and laughing at her.

That'll show her.
