.
Got home last night, and I'm totally dead. Blisters on the feet and totally exhausted. I way overslept today, I just couldn't get out of bed. Too much fun.
My sister was great the whole time and we had a ton of fun. My only regrets are that I didn't set aside more money for the Disneyland part, that the park didn't do the fireworks show for some reason (even though they had the night before, conveniently screwing us out of something really special), and that I didn't get a chance to take my sister on California Screaming one more time because we were waiting around for fireworks. I think her favourite rides were Indiana Jones and the Tower of Terror, which we rode the most. I got a great picture of me in the tower read a map of the park and looking completely unfazed.
The first night, we got there pretty late, so we went to In & Out, an important Southern California experience. I had a grilled cheese, naturally. The next day we went to the La Brea tar pits instead of the Zoo. We just didn't want to drive that far and it was for the best that I saved all that money. We really enjoyed the tar pits, which I was really worried my sister would think were lame. I didn't realise they actually had an open pit that reeked like a gas station right there in front of the museum. That was pretty sweet. After that we explored Hollywood, visited the Disney Soda Fountain and had black and white sundaes with sprinkles (which everyone got because I'm awesome and everyone followed my example). Our booth was right next to a framed picture of the Jonas Bros. with their sundaes and Miley Cyrus was right above that, which tickled my sister pink. Then we went and saw Up in 3D at the El Capitan. We were harassed by an Elvis and a Jack Sparrow at the Chinese Theatre, the latter having come up behind us as we were looking at Harrison Ford's handprints without our noticing him.
The next day we visited Santa Monica, went on the roller coaster and the carousel, and ate at Bubba Gump shrimp. I know, I know... but she got a cool light up glass there and we had a good time. It was really fun running around in the sand, too. After that, we drove around the Hollywood Hills and then we went to an Arclight theatre to see Land of the Lost, which I didn't expect to enjoy, but did.
We went to Disneyland on Sunday, getting up at 5 am and leaving the park at midnight. Monday, we visited my friend Ben's workplace and had crepes at the Americana.
Fun times. I'm really glad I was able to do this for my sister, but I'm glad to be home, with my kitties, that I missed terribly.

I'm really glad you had such a great time.
That experience just doesn't sound real. XD It all sounds too dreamlike and fantastical. But that's really cool you could share that with your sister. <3

If you try to fail and succeed, what did you just do?

they must have been having tech troubles with the fireworks because I know they do them every night, at least when I have been there.
