i watch people for their art, not for their political views.

even if someone's political views completely contradict mine, it still won't matter. i'm still there for the art

I don't mind it so much until it the politics completely take over the art. At that point, they are no longer interesting at all. It's just some weird shrill preachifying advertisement instead of an expression of their vision.

I don't really care what people's political views are. I do watch them for the art. Buuut if someone says something ridiculously ignorant and offencive, I would probably not want to watch them anymore. So say someone's attitude is ridiculously homophobic or something, or they denounce gender equality or something - I would remove them. I'd get sick thinking that I'm giving them views and +1 to a watch count, when they say things I find incredibly offencive.

I've definitely seen that happen. Passion is good, but no one likes to be preached at.

Like the commercial with that dude on the beach. I hate that commercial so much. And those NBC "the more you know" commercials with the stars saying crap like, "I use reusable shopping bags; how can YOU green your routine?" I always want to shout, "That's the LEAST you can do, and you think you get to act all smug and presume we're not doing anything?!"

For one thing, I don't drive. o_O
